Earlier this week, G and I were invited to a screening of the new James Bond movie, Spectre. G owns an Omega watch which also happens to be the same brand James Bond wears (how fancy!). Omega invited us to a fun night out which included dinner and a movie at Scottsdale’s Studio Movie Grill. We used it as an excuse to dress up for a night on the town.
I love all of the details on this Catherine Malandrino dress: the sheer dotted top, the cutout embroidered trim, the pintucked panels, and the pleated skirt. It’s a fun little black dress that’s so different from the usual styles. Since it was chilly out I paired it with a sequined cashmere cardigan and minimal accessories so the outfit would really stand out.
I have so many patterned tights but these ones with their mini hearts are so much fun! I love how unexpected the hearts are and I really like how they play up the sheer yoke of the dress. I really like how this mix of patterns and details turns what could easily be a simple outfit of black-dress-and-sweater into something a lot more interesting and fun.
The event itself was a lot of fun and I’m glad we were able to go. We were served dinner and drinks (cheeseburgers for both of us) and they even brought us popcorn and warm cookies during the movie! The movie was really good too. I’ve seen quite a few Bond films and really enjoyed them but Spectre was easily the best. It was action-packed and full of references to past Bond films. There were a lot of tongue-in-cheek moments and it was very entertaining. Definitely check it out!
