I love the messy, beach hair look. That carefree, just rolled out of bed but my hair still looks fabulous look. Unfortunately, my hair is pretty straight and fine so it doesn’t quite cooperate (I know, such a terrible problem to have…). I’ve spent a lot of time adding texture and mussing it up only to have it go flat in a few minutes. That’s why I was so excited to try the HASK Hawaiian Sea Salt Beach Texture Collection. This shampoo, conditioner, and texture spray promise to enhance waves and add texture while still nourishing and protecting hair to keep it healthy. I’ve had a lot of good luck with HASK in the past so I was feeling pretty good about this collection.
I have so much fun with skincare. Masks, serums, creams- I love the process of applying them and really taking care of my skin. I love having mini spa nights and seeing how different products make a big difference in my skin. I hate to say it, but pretty much all of my pampering involves my face. Skincare for hands is definitely something I need to work on, especially since no matter how great and young my face looks, if my hands look rough I won’t be fooling anyone. I recently got the chance to try the Exuviance Age Reverse Hand Rejuvenator– a two-piece set that works to diminish signs of aging on hands. I was pretty excited since a hand peel is much for fun to use than just a normal hand cream. Who knows, it might even get me interested in taking care of my hands.
I like to wear a lot of different prints but stripes are definitely my number one. I love how they are simple and classic but can easily be bold and fresh depending on the size and what I pair them with. I usually go for a breton stripe but every now and then I mix it up, like with these two tops. I’ve been craving lots of stripes lately and these two black and white striped tops caught my eye. I love the fun details like gingham sleeves and a peplum but my favorite part is how easy each striped top is to wear.
It’s pretty hard to do fall fashion in Phoenix. All the stores are carrying sweaters and tall boots and with Halloween and Thanksgiving it’s pretty easy to get into the fall spirit but the weather here just doesn’t cooperate. Sure, it’s a bit chilly in the mornings and evenings but when midday temperatures reach the mid 70s it’s nearly impossible to work tights and scarves into my wardrobe. Instead, I focus on light fall layers that work with the temperature changes and still look appropriate for the season.
We recently got to try out a clothing company called eShakti that specializes in custom clothing. It’s a pretty fun concept- you select the style you like and then adjust the sleeves, length, collar, and more to your liking. You can order your selection using standard clothing sizes (anywhere from 0-36W) or input your measurements to get a piece made just for you. We each got to pick something we wanted to try and here are our experiences.
