There’s something so timeless about a full skirt and cardigan. Put them on and you instantly feel a little more polished. Plus, circle skirts like this are so easy to make! It can be hard to look modern in this silhouette, but I’ve found that fun accessories and adding prints goes a long way in updating this look. I went for a slightly monochromatic look with this outfit and focused on adding lots of blues and greens to my look.
Anytime I visit a fabric store, I find myself drawn to fabrics with lots of color and cool patterns. I really liked the subtlety of the print that I used for this skirt. It’s interesting enough to catch your eye but it’s not outlandish and can easily be paired with nicer items for work or dressed down for play.
I really like blues and greens together so anytime I wear an outfit with those colors I like to pile on all the blue and green jewelry I own. I love how special each piece is and it makes me happy to see them throughout the day. This arm stack contains a silver and blue ribbon bracelet that I made. The blue and green glass bead bracelet is actually a vintage necklace that’s just a little too short. The white wrap bracelet is from Julep, the silver and blue bracelet is another vintage piece, and the green and silver bracelet was a present that one of my cousins made.
