I’m not usually a fan of blush. It seems a little strange, considering I love pink, but blush feels like something else entirely. I love the idea of blush and it looks great on other people, but it’s hard for me to find blush clothes that I really like. Typically, they lean too brown or mauve-y and those colors just do not look good on me. I was really surprised when I found this blush mini dress though. It’s super pale and a true blush pink- no brown or mauve shades to be found. It feels perfect for spring and it’s definitely changed how I feel about the color.
I don’t wear a lot of really light colors. Since I’m pretty pale, they tend to feel a little monochrome. I usually add a lot of contrast with darks or bright colors in order to make them wearable. This dress isn’t quite as high maintenance. I think it’s because it leans a bit cooler and doesn’t look so skintone-y- like I would wear it with true white instead of cream, if that makes sense. It’s easy to wear with other light colors or even on its own.
I love the shape of this blush mini dress. In fact, trapeze dresses might be my absolute favorite silhouette to wear. I love how easy they are and they are super comfortable, even after a big lunch!
I wore this blush mini dress with a light gray cardigan and matching gray suede shoes. I’ve been wearing these bow sneakers nonstop. I love that they are super comfy but still look stylish and a lot dressier than normal sneakers.
This tassel necklace is another one of my current favorites. I wear a lot of gold jewelry and I love how the stones are iridescent purple. It looks great against pastels so it’s perfect for spring!
