Fall in Phoenix is tough. Everyone else is breaking out their cozy clothes in dark, moody colors but it still feels like summer here. It’s just not cool enough yet to break out the warm sweaters and scarves. So instead I’ve been buying light tops and dresses but in deeper colors so I still get my fall fix. This burgundy lace dress from Yoins is one of my latest finds. I love the rich color but the short length and lace sleeves still keep me weather-appropriate.
I adore just about anything made with eyelash lace and this dress is no exception. I just love how soft it feels and how delicate and pretty it looks. I’m also really digging the sleeves on this burgundy lace dress. Sleeves on any dress always make me happy and I like the length of these as well as the slight bell shape.
I decided to toughen up this look a bit with some fun black suede boots. The dress was just so sweet looking with the soft lace and babydoll shape that I couldn’t resist grunge-ing it up a little, plus this wouldn’t be a very good “faux-fall” look with summer sandals!
I also added a black clutch and a fun statement necklace. I never quite feel like an outfit is done until I add a little detail like a sparkly necklace.
How pretty is this lip color? I’ve been obsessed with it for fall! It’s such a gorgeous berry shade and I love how it leans more pink than red or purple. And it goes with anything that’s even remotely fall-colored. Seriously, I have yet to find an outfit that doesn’t look good with it. I love how it coordinates with this burgundy lace dress without being too matchy-matchy.
I think I ended up with a pretty good fall outfit, despite it being over 100 degrees still! This burgundy lace dress is so cute and it will be easy to layer over tights or under a jacket when the weather finally cools down.
