Today I’m excited to share with you a new mud mask from Exuviance. I love masks in general but mud masks are one of my favorites and I always like trying new ones. I love how they detox my skin and they are great for “reset-ing” it if my skin is not cooperating. If my skin is feeling too oily or not looking as bright and fresh as I would like, a mud mask always gets it back to normal. Lucky for me, the Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment did not disappoint.
The Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment is the latest product from Exuviance, a brand of skincare developed by dermatologists that focuses on anti-aging and transformative products that don’t irritate skin. I tried their Age Reverse Hand Rejuvenator and really liked it so I couldn’t wait to try more of their products. The Detox Mud Treatment is a mud mask designed to decongest pores, detoxify skin, and remove excess oil so skin looks smooth, refined, and bright. It contains 23% active Japanese Binchotan Charcoal to remove impurities and toxins from your skin along with French Clay to absorb oil. NeoGlucosamine, an exfoliator, removes dead skin cells and clarifies skin. Finally, a botanical blend restores your skin’s natural balance. It sounds pretty great, right?
This mask applied easily and dried pretty quickly, which was really nice. Sometimes I feel like mud masks take too long to dry and end up leaving my skin feeling parched. This one completely dried within fifteen minutes and since it didn’t take up too much of my time, I feel like I’m a lot more inclined to use it frequently. The mask was thick but felt really smooth on my face- I liked it a lot. The best part though? It washed off pretty easily, which hardly ever happens with mud masks! Usually I feel like I have to scrub my face really hard to get it clean but that wasn’t the case with this.
My skin felt super soft after using the Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment. It was really nice- I couldn’t stop touching it! It’s amazing what a quick little mask can do to your skin. My skin felt a little tighter as well, which is always an added bonus. I definitely recommend applying moisturizer right after washing the mask off or else your face can feel a little dry. After all, the mask just removed a bunch of excess oil from your skin.
This Detox Mud Treatment is supposed to be used two or three times per week and while I don’t think using it that often would irritate my skin, I don’t think it’s totally necessary. I prefer to use it once a week or so to really deep clean my skin. Overall, I really like this mask. It makes my face feel soft and does a great job of clarifying my skin and making it look brighter and more clear. I especially like how quick it dries and how easy it is to wash off.
What’s your favorite mud mask?
