We’ve finally reached that awkward time of the year where it’s really cold in the mornings and evenings but it’s still pretty warm during the day. This kind of weather calls for lots of light layers that can easily be shed when the heat gets to be too much. Versatility is key, like an open sweater whose sleeves can be easily pushed up or a wool skirt and ankle boots that provide warmth but also the opportunity for bare legs. I’ve also transitioned to my fall wardrobe colors: grays, berries, and taupes. I’ve found that having lots of clothes in this color palette means it’s super easy to throw things together and layer as needed. I love the colorblocking on this skirt, it fits perfectly with my theme and it keeps an otherwise simple skirt from being too boring.
Fall also means pumpkin spice lattes so I threw on this outfit when we went over to our local coffee shop for a treat. I really like all of the different shades of gray in this outfit and I really love how it gave me an excuse to wear my new berry lipstick (and it even matched my berry nails!).
As it started to warm up, it was easy to ditch my hat and sweater and still have a cute outfit. I added the bead and sequin detail to this tee by simply running my needle and thread through a sequin and adding a seed bead before I ran it back through. I love how easy it was to do and how it adds just a little sparkle to an otherwise basic tee.
I seriously can’t get enough of these colors for fall and I have a feeling I’ll be wearing an outfit similar to this almost every day! I love this colorblocked skirt so much I’m already looking for more pieces like it. Colorblocking is such a fun way to add a little interest to an outfit.

Thanks Dia! JCrew is great for staples like this but their sizing runs pretty big so beware. I usually order 1-2 sizes smaller than usual. Their Factory site is good for amazing deals!
