I’ve written before about my Graze boxes and how much I enjoy them (see my other reviews here) and for my latest Graze review I’m talking about three of my latest boxes. What’s better than getting healthy, interesting snacks delivered to your door every couple of weeks? I’ve been really happy with the service and I love how much customization I have with my boxes! I have a lot of control over which snacks I’m sent and how often I receive boxes, and I can change any of that at any time. I love having prepackaged, tasty snacks that I can grab and take with me. They’re so convenient for taking to work, on trips, or even to just throw in your bag in case you get hungry. I’ve received quite a few boxes at this point so I’m really able to narrow down which snacks I want to get. I still get a few duds (I have several snacks rated as try just to see if I like them, a lot of times I don’t) but for the most part I’m happy with my snacks. One of my recent boxes included quite a variety of snacks: Billionaires’ Shortbread, Tropical Daiquiri, Lemon Drizzle Flapjack, and Brooklyn Bites.
Billionaires’ Shortbread contains Belgian milk chocolate, cranberries, blanched almonds, fudge pieces. I love chocolate and don’t receive nearly enough of Graze’s snack containing chocolate, so I was happy to see this. The Belgian milk chocolate had a great chocolate flavor. The cranberries were soft instead of chewy and hard. They were tart but a little sweet. The blanched almonds had a nice flavor and the fudge pieces were also really good. They tasted like a better version of caramel- not hard or chewy but with a nice sweet flavor. I really liked this snack. It was a nice blend of flavors, sweet but not too indulgent. The cranberries added a nice tart flavor and I really liked getting chocolate in a snack.
Tropical Daiquiri is a fruit mix with pineapple, green mango and lime infused raisins. This snack smelled really good- fresh and tropical but not too sweet. I really like Graze’s pineapple. It is tangy and tastes like fresh pineapple. It’s not hard and just chewy enough. The green mango was sweet with a great texture but it was a little chalky. It had a good flavor and I wish there were more pieces in this snack. The lime raisins had an interesting flavor. They were sweet like raisins but sour like limes. There were too many in this snack. Overall, a good fruity/ sour-y snack.
Lemon Drizzle Flapjack is a rustic rolled oat flapjack with lemon yogurt drizzle. This was amazing! It smelled and tasted like lemon bars. The lemon flavor was really strong and wasn’t too sour or too sweet. This had a very fresh, straight-from-the-bakery taste. I would love to get this again.
Brooklyn Bites were the only dud in this box. They are poppyseed pretzels, cheese cashews and roasted pumpkin seeds. I don’t particularly like pumpkin seeds and I don’t like pretzels, so I’m not sure what I was thinking when I said I would try this. The poppyseed pretzels aren’t too “pretzel-y” and the roasted pumpkin seeds have a nice crunch to them. The cheese cashews are really good and cheesy. I didn’t consider myself a cashew fan before Graze, but I’ve had them in a few different snacks and I really like them. This snack was ok but not great. I wish it was all cheese cashews.
The next box for my Graze review contained two more snacks I’ve tried before (Olive and Rosemary Bruschetta and Summer Berry Compote) plus two new ones (Deconstructed Carrot Cake and Mint Choc Chip Gelato). I was excited to see a box of snacks I loved and snacks I really wanted to try. Plus, more chocolate!
I really liked the Olive and Rosemary Bruschetta when I got it before, so I was happy to see it in this box. It contains kalamata olive croutons, rosemary and garlic flavored cashews and mini tomato breadsticks. This is a nice crunchy, savory snack and I like all the flavors. I don’t love this snack, but it’s always nice to get.
I was really happy to see Summer Berry Compote in my box. Summer Berry Compote is berry compote with wholemeal shortbread dippers. The shortbread dippers are just alright, but the berry compote is amazing! Seriously, I would buy it by the gallon if I could. It’s sweet with a little tanginess to it and soooo good. There was a good amount of berry compote in this but I wish the dippers were better.
Deconstructed Carrot Cake is an interesting snack. Made of cinnamon flavored raisins, walnuts, carrot chews and ginger fudge, it does taste and smell like carrot cake. The cinnamon raisins are slightly spicy with a strong cinnamon flavor. The walnuts are good but they are really big compared to the other items in this snack. I ended up breaking them into quarters to spread the flavor around a little more. The carrot chews have a strange flavor. They are a little sour and taste like carrot gummies. The ginger fudge had a good chewy texture with a sweet and ginger flavor. I’m not a big ginger fan and the carrots were pretty weird tasting to me so I don’t want this snack again. But I liked the idea of it and it really does taste like carrot cake.
Mint Choc Chip Gelato consists of blanched almonds, yogurt coated sunflower seeds, dark chocolate buttons and peppermint flavored raisins. This is a snack that I thought would either be really good or really bad. The almonds were kind of plain with a very slight mint taste from the other items. The yogurt seeds were slightly crunchy with a good, sweet flavor. They were also slightly minty, more so than the almonds. The dark chocolate buttons were really good but they were too big and there weren’t enough (only three!). I would have preferred more smaller buttons instead of these large ones. The peppermint raisins were very strange. They had a strong peppermint flavor and the texture of the raisins didn’t quite fit with the mint flavor. This snack wasn’t super sweet like I was expecting. It had too many almonds and not enough yogurt seeds and dark chocolate buttons. I liked the mint flavor but the peppermint raisins were a little weird.
At this point, I’m starting to get a lot of repeats, just not the repeats I want. I’ve been listing snacks I don’t really like but wouldn’t mind getting as “try,” but I think Graze thinks that means, “I want to try this so send it,” not, “send this to me every now and then but send me my likes and loves first!” Both Booster Seeds and Graze’s Lightly Salted Popping Corn were tries for me, but after getting this box I went ahead and trashed them.
Booster Seeds is made of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and golden flaxseeds. It’s a nice snack for a boost of energy but it’s not that tasty. The sunflower seeds are nice and I don’t mind pumpkin seeds around Halloween but I don’t love eating them. The golden flaxseeds are very small and kind of crunchy and hard. I would be ok with getting this every now and then but I’ve already got them twice so I’m going to trash them now.
I’ve received Raspberry and Coconut Muffin a few times. It contains raspberry infused cranberries, almond slivers, amaretti drops and coconut flakes. This is a great sweet and crunchy snack that I enjoy receiving.
I’ve had Graze’s Lightly Salted Popping Corn before. It’s a smaller size than normal popcorn bags, but it’s perfect for a snack. I’m not a huge popcorn fan but I keep getting these in my Graze boxes. For the time being, I’ve decided to trash both popcorn flavors because I’m sick of getting them!
Pomodoro Rustichella is made with tomato, basil and oregano almonds, mini tomato breadsticks and cheddar cheese croutons. This snack smelled so good. The almonds had a really good flavor although I think I would have preferred cashews. The almonds were just a little too sweet but they were nice and herb-y with a good tomato taste. The tomato baguettes were crisp with a good tomato flavor that wasn’t too tomato-y. The cheese croutons were crunchy without being hard and nice and cheesy. This was a good savory and crunchy snack.
I still love getting this snack box, even if I don’t always love all of the snacks. I’m definitely getting pickier about what I keep around and less picky about the snacks I trash. Graze recently introduced a new 8 snack variety box (I’d been getting the 4 snack variety box) and I just made the switch to it. Now, instead of getting a 4 snack box every two weeks and paying $6.49, I’m getting an 8 snack box every four weeks for $10.99. I’ll just have to see if I can ration the snacks out over a month!
