HASK Mint Almond Oil Thickening Collection

Hask Mint Almond Oil Thickening CollectionLast month I got to try the HASK Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Collection and I loved it so much that I was thrilled when HASK asked me to review more of their products. The HASK Mint Almond Oil Thickening Collection contains three different products designed to create thick, voluminous hair using mint almond oil. The HASK Mint Almond Oil contains omega fatty acids, Vitamin E, and magnesium which increase volume while adding shine to hair. Peppermint oil helps stimulate the hair and scalp. I got to try the entire HASK Mint Almond Oil Collection- their thickening shampoo, thickening conditioner, and root thickening spray.

Hask Mint Almond Oil ShampooThe HASK Mint Almond Oil Thickening Shampoo is the first step in this collection. Like the Coconut Oil line, this smells amazing! I didn’t get much of an almond smell from these products, instead I thought they smelled like peppermint patties. I’ve never used hair products that smell anything like these but I really liked the scent. The Mint Almond Oil Shampoo felt really nice on and cleaned my hair well without feeling like it stripped all the oil from it. These products are sulfate and paraben-free and I really like how they make my hair feel.

Hask Mint Almond Oil ConditionerThe HASK Mint Almond Oil Conditioner had the same great scent and left my hair feeling moisturized without being oily. It coated my hair and detangled it well. This made my hair feel soft and it looked shiny and healthy. My hair felt thick and bouncy so I can say this definitely worked as a thickening conditioner. I think adding moisture back into my hair helped revive it and made it look thicker and healthier.

Hask Mint Almond Oil Root Thickening SprayThe last product was the HASK Mint Almond Oil Root Thickening Spray. I have mixed feelings about this product and I’m still playing around with it to see if I can get it to work for me. This thickening spray can be used on damp hair before drying or on dry hair to revive it. You are supposed to concentrate your sprays near the root to really lift the hair and add volume. The first time I used this, I used it on damp hair. I must have used too much because it made my scalp so itchy! I think I had a reaction to the peppermint oil and it wouldn’t go away. My hair did look lifted at the root and it seemed to make my hair look much nicer between washings but I couldn’t stand how it felt! The next time I tried a little bit on dry hair and didn’t notice much of a difference (but I only used a small amount because I was afraid I would have the same reaction). I’m going to try it again on wet hair and see if I can find the perfect balance because it really did make my hair look good.

I’m pretty happy with the HASK Mint Almond Oil Collection but I definitely prefer the Coconut Oil Collection on my hair. The Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner do a great job of cleaning and moisturizing my hair while adding some extra volume. The Root Thickening Spray gives my hair noticeable volume at the roots but I need to figure out just how much I can use without the peppermint oil bothering my scalp. If you’re looking for thicker hair or aren’t sensitive to peppermint oil, try the HASK Mint Almond Oil Collection. If you want a lot of extra moisture and need nourishing products, check out the HASK Monoi Coconut Oil line.

I received the HASK Mint Almond Oil Collection in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve been dying to try Hask haircare products. But since I have a hard time with peppermint oil, I’ll be seeking out the coconut oil. Sounds divine

I used the hask mint and almond oil root thickening spray. I love the feel of my hair after the spray. My hair was so dry and lifeless earlier. But it feels very nourished and well conditioned after using this product.
