Homemade Pizza

Lately I’ve been on a total pizza kick! It started when I was living in LA and build your own pizza restaurants starting popping up all over the place including one that was right by my gym. It was amazing! It was like Chipotle but for pizza and it was nice to get exactly what you wanted. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any of those restaurants in Nashville yet, although I have had some great pizza (shout out to 5 Points Pizza and Jets!).

So since I’ve been craving build your own pizza, last time I was in Phoenix I asked about having homemade pizza for dinner. My parents have a pretty awesome pizza stone oven that you use on the grill. You slide the pizza in, rotate it every 45 seconds, and take it out after like 8 minutes. It’s so easy and fun to make.

Grilled Homemade PizzaWe set up a variety of toppings such as tomatoes, artichoke hearts, bacon, pepperoni, and basil as well as both white sauce and red sauce. I also put a little buffalo sauce on mine. Picking out the toppings and then making the pizza on the grill is actually a lot of fun.

Making homemade pizza definitely hit the spot for my pizza craving. What are some of your favorite pizza places?

I love making pizza! I haven’t made any for awhile but the boyfriend and I were talking the other night about how we need to…I think I may have to do that sooner rather than later and go pick up some of my favorite paleo pizza crust!
