For me, spring means lots of color! Now that the cold weather is gone, it’s time to brighten some things up! I know spring is usually the time for light colors but in addition to lots of cream, blush, and baby blue I’ve been adding plenty of bright jewel tones to my wardrobe. I just love how deep and vibrant the colors are and I think they really pop, especially when worn together. Plus, these vivid colors complement my skin tone a lot more than washed out pastels.
I fell in love with this emerald green pencil skirt at the store but I wasn’t quite sure what colors to pair it with until I saw it next to this vibrant blue/purple sweater. I know people typically wear dark green with navy but since I hate navy with a passion, I find it hard to wear green even though I love it. Pairing it with other bright jewel tones was definitely a light bulb moment for me!
I added a few bright pink accessories to really play up the jewel tones and I’m really happy with how this outfit turned out. There’s something so classic about a pencil skirt and sweater and I think the bright colors of these pieces make them really fun.
This bright pink belt is one of my favorites, I love how colorful and different it is. I also love this blue and green crystal bracelet. It’s so versatile- it’s actually a necklace than can be worn long or looped around the neck twice for a shorter, layered look or it’s easy to wrap around my wrist as a bracelet. And it sends sparkles everywhere, I just love it!
