When Julep released their August Wanderlust Collection, I considered upgrading and getting the entire set. Instead, I picked out the five colors I wanted most, telling myself I had polishes very similar to the ones I didn’t get. After seeing real life swatches of the rest of the colors, I was disappointed I didn’t also get Tazeen. Then the collection sold out and wasn’t available for several months. I was finally able to grab Tazeen right before the holidays, and I’m really glad I did.
Tazeen is described as a full-coverage Bollywood gold glitter. It is a mix of micro-glitters and large glitters in a clear base. One coat deposits quite a bit of glitter on the nail, but not enough to be full-coverage. I really like the mix of glitter sizes in Tazeen. I have several gold glitter toppers and purchased Tazeen to use as a full-coverage polish. However, I think it would be really pretty as a topper over a light pink or a dark berry. This polish is very unique compared to regular glitter toppers, so I think it is a nice addition to my collection.
Two coats of Tazeen is pretty close to full-coverage. You can still see some nail, but it’s not enough to bother me. I really like the color of this gold glitter. It is almost a neutral, cool-toned gold. This isn’t a super flashy yellow gold. It is much more wearable and although it is nice and shiny on the nails, it isn’t distracting.
In direct sunlight, Tazeen really shines. It is easier to make out the different sizes of glitter in this light, but indoors they blend together. I am really happy I was able to get Tazeen. Even though I have several gold glitter polishes already, this one is totally different. I really like the mix of small and big glitters, and the neutral color is also nice. I love Julep’s full-coverage glitter polishes and this is no exception. Julep Tazeen is $14/11.20 Maven here.
Have you ever missed out on a nail polish you really wanted?
