Do you TLSP?
The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, or TLSP, is a great multi-purpose powder. Not only does it help set makeup, but it also keeps skin from looking oily as the day wears on. This award-winning powder now comes in two shades: Translucent (the shade I tried) and Translucent Medium Deep for darker skin tones. I usually don’t use setting powder but after trying this I can see why I should- it definitely made a big difference in how my makeup looked and how it wore throughout the day.
Setting powder is used as the final stage in applying makeup to help “set” it and lock it into place. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is nice because it’s got a more natural hue than most setting powders and the two different shades make it much easier to get a powder that works for you. Usually I like a dewy makeup look but I was really surprised by how much I liked this powder. It gives my makeup more of a matte finish and it also has a soft-finish effect that blurs skin imperfections. TLSP makes my makeup look more polished and since the powder also absorbs oil throughout the day my face doesn’t get shiny.
Laura Mercier’s TLSP is pretty easy to use. First, shake some product out into the lid or the top of the jar. Press the Laura Mercier Velour Powder Puff into the powder then fold it in half and rub it together so the powder gets evenly distributed on the puff. Use a slight rolling motion to press the powder into your skin. I like to use this powder all over my t-zone and jaw line but leave me cheeks alone. That way I get a bit of dewiness from my blush and highlighter to counteract the matte finish everywhere else.
I really like the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. It gives my skin a nice, soft, matte finish and since it absorbs excess oil throughout the day my makeup keeps looking fresh. TLSP makes a big difference in how my makeup looks and it’s so silky and finely-milled that it blends into skin really well. I love the color and the slight sheer coverage I get with this powder and I only need a little bit at a time so this jar will last me for quite a while!
