Light Spring Layers / Nashville in Spring

Nashville Spring Fashion OOTD Striped Sweater, Skinny Jeans, and Ballet FlatsI definitely experienced a range of weather when I visited Stacie in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. There were a couple of what I would consider normal spring days, a couple of really warm (90 degrees or so) days and then a big storm rolled in and we were back to our winter coats. When the weather is really finicky like that I like to rely on light spring layers. We did a lot of exploring while I was there and it was easy to throw on a few layers in the morning and remove them if the day warmed up. One of my favorite things we did was visit Nashville’s Bicentennial Mall, where we ran into all of these pretty trees!

Everywhere we went there were flowers blooming and pretty much the entire city was covered with flowering trees like these ones. I’ve pretty much demanded that Stacie plant trees like this at her house, they’re too pretty to pass up! We ended up using quite a few as photo props for the blog. :)

It’s super light, almost like a thick tee and the neutral colors go with almost everything. This is actually from one of Stacie’s wishlists a couple of years ago. My parents bought it for her for Christmas but weren’t sure of the size so they picked up a couple of different ones. Luckily, the one that didn’t work for her fit me! I think I’ve worn mine way more than she’s worn hers, so thanks Stacie.

Light Spring Layers Striped Sweater and Skinny JeansThis time I layered it over one of my favorite tunic tees from Target. I’ve worn this and another color on the blog a few times already but that’s because I love them so much! They’re super comfy and it’s so easy to throw them on with just about anything in my closet.

I think my light spring layers worked out pretty well and I was nice and comfortable while we were exploring. And seriously, how pretty are these trees?!
