Since New Year’s Eve is tomorrow, I wanted to share some outfit inspiration for any parties you may be attending. New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite holidays to dress for because it requires so many sequins, crystals, and glitter- you can never have too much! It is a bit tricky to dress for though since cooler weather calls for lots of layers. I usually like to pick one statement piece and then wear dark, neutral layering pieces with it. This outfit is the perfect example. I get plenty of New Year’s Eve sparkle with my sequined top and then keep it simple with black jeans and a black jacket. The layers help me stay warm and the dark colors also make the silver sequins really pop!
I had a hard time narrowing down what to wear this year as I have way too many sequined pieces in my closet and I love them all! This silver sequined top really stood out next to everything else though. I love how dense the sequins are- when the light hits this top it throws sparkles everywhere. It’s cut like a t-shirt so it’s really comfortable to wear but still dressy enough for holiday parties.
I added a black blazer and some black skinny jeans so that the silver top would really stand out. I like how this look is dressy but casual at the same time. It has all of the New Year’s Eve sparkle that I could want plus it is really comfortable.
For some extra holiday sparkle, I also really like the comfy t-shirt-style sequin dresses here and here. This dress with its long sleeves would help you stay warm and this dress is perfect for layering with a sweater and tights. This pencil skirt would definitely make a statement and I love the beaded pattern on this one. If you want more of a cozy look, I think this skirt would look really pretty with a cream or gray cashmere sweater. I also love the sequin side stripes on these leggings for more of a subtle outfit or these silver and black ones for a flashier look. I especially love the different colors of these leggings and think they would look great with a flowy tunic and high heels.
This outfit wouldn’t be complete without my sparkliest statement necklace and earrings. These two pieces are really fun. The necklace is overloaded with crystals on top of crystals and the earrings are each made with a giant Swarovski crystal that catches the light and goes crazy.
I couldn’t resist adding a vintage beaded clutch to really finish the look. And how cute are these black ballet flats? They have fun gold details on the bows and along the heel. If you want a bit more sparkle for your New Year’s Eve outfit, these pumps with their glitter heels are so fun. For a more casual outfit, I love these sequin sneakers and they’re such a great price right now. I also have to mention the Kate Spade glitter Keds because I love mine so much! I have them in gold (see here and here) and black but I also think the rose gold is really pretty.
