My November beauty favorites signify a pretty significant change to my routine from previous months. Now that the weather is finally getting cooler, my beauty routine has changed quite a bit. Unlike the warmer months where I was all about playing around with new makeup shades, right now I’m focusing on keeping my look simple. I’m all about berry shades for makeup and nails and I’ve been craving scents that smell warmer and a little spicy. I’ve also been using everything I can to combat hair static caused by heaters and sweaters. My November beauty favorites were Essie’s Recessionista, Dior’s Hypnotic Poison, and Josie Maran’s Argan Oil.
Recessionista is an older Essie polish that I absolutely adore, I will be so sad when I finally run out of it. This nail polish is my favorite for fall and winter. It’s a gorgeous deep berry shade that is the perfect mix of red and purple. Plus, it’s not too dark like a lot of vampy fall shades can be. The formula is really nice and I get great coverage with two coats. I love the creme finish and I also love layering a copper glitter topper over this when I want some sparkle.
I have also switched to my favorite winter perfume- Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Usually when I buy new perfumes, I go to the store, spray some on my wrists, and leave. I like to see how a scent wears on me and if I can live with smelling it all day long before I make a decision. I didn’t even make it to the parking lot before I turned around and bought this. This oriental vanilla fragrance is heavy and spicy while still being sweet but not cloying. I love it during cooler months, it’s hard for me to wear anything else because this is so perfect! I wish you could smell it through the screen because there’s no way I’d ever be able to describe exactly how amazing it is, and it lasts all day!
Now that sweater season is (mostly) here, my hair has been so static-y and dry! I’ve been using Josie Maran’s Argan Oil to tame the ends and keep them moisturized. My face doesn’t like this oil very much but my hair loves it! This is light enough that it doesn’t weigh my hair down but it keeps it looking nice and silky. I love how well this keeps my hair under control.
