After living in Denver for three years, it’s hard to see orange and not think of football. But when I spotted this dress from across the room at Banana Republic, all I could think of was summer. I’ve never really been partial to the color orange (except for fun kitchen appliances), but in a rack next to a bunch of neutrals, this dress really stood out and I had to try it on. What if it was my color and I just never knew? I ended up leaving with the orange dress that day. It is seriously a bright, neon orange and it’s a lot of fun to wear, plus the sale price couldn’t be beat. I paired it with brights and lots of gold here but I think it would also work with grays or even some leopard print. For such a bright color, I’ve been really surprised by how many items from my closet actually work with it.
The dress has a trapeze shape, which is probably my favorite dress shape of all time. I love how easy to wear it is and it’s so simple to switch out different belts for new looks. Or I can even wear it without a belt for a more relaxed look. The pleats are a fun addition and this neon orange dress even has pockets!
When paired with this bright blue cardigan, this dress doesn’t make me think of football at all, just warm weather!

It’s such a fun color, isn’t it?
I love that you pulled off the dress so well, am not quite in love with orange as I think I can’t carry it but this neon orange just pops and so summery! I love the color blocking idea and your style, you make me feel that styling orange outfits is easy as a breeze!
Take care and have a great week!

I think orange can be a tricky color but it’s surprisingly versatile. I’m finding so many things to wear with it!
That’s such a lovely outfit. Bright colours, but great combination.
