Every now and then, you find the perfect dress. Something that you never get sick of, something that is always fun to wear, and something that works for almost any occasion. This periwinkle dress checks all the boxes for me. It’s several years old but I still love to wear it and it’s one of the easiest pieces in my closet. All I have to do is throw it on and go, but I still love adding fun accessories so it doesn’t look like the same outfit every time. It’s perfect for work but the light fabric is also great for parties or as a dressier look while traveling. What could be better than that?
I found this dress at Forever 21 several years ago, and I think I paid about $20. It was such a great find- the color was gorgeous, it was knee length (almost impossible for me to find) and the fit was sleek yet forgiving at the same time. It was so perfect that I searched the store for more colors and spent months looking for it online, but I didn’t have any luck. Oh well, I guess I don’t get to own a closetful of perfect, $20 dresses. I’ll have to settle for just this one.
I love pairing this chiffon periwinkle dress with neutral accessories. I’ve been really into ankle strap shoes lately and these are my newest ones. The low heel makes them super comfortable and I love the thick strap. The pointed toe makes them feel a bit 90s-esque, in a good way. Definitely a fun shoe to have in my closet!
I added a gray cardigan for a little warmth and a fun, berry-pink lipstick. I love how the purpley-pink shade looks against the blue color of the dress. And of course, I couldn’t forget a sparkly statement necklace!
