I haven’t been buying too many new beauty products so far this year but I’ve been having a lot of fun rediscovering products I already own. My March beauty favorites included a new concealer that has gotten quite a bit of use, an old favorite nail polish shade, and a lip primer that I finally figured out how to use well. I’ve been wearing a lot of soft pink and purple shades of makeup but I’ve been trying different combinations with a few different palettes so none of them have really stood out so far. I’ve also been wearing a lot of pink blushes and lip colors and tring some new skincare products. But when it came down to it, these three products really stood out in March. My 2016 March beauty favorites were the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla, Essie’s Lovie Dovie Nail Polish, and the Stila Lush Lips Water Plumping Primer.
My September beauty routine consisted of lots of natural pink colors and products to make my complexion look nice and bright. I bought a new, very colorful eye shadow palette (review coming soon), so I wanted neutral cheeks and lips to pair the bright shadows with. I’ve had two of these products for awhile and one of them is a brand new one that arrived at the perfect time. My three September Beauty Favorites were Sephora’s Colorful Blush in 08 Rose Petal, BECCA’s Under Eye Brightening Corrector, and Buxom’s Full-Bodied Lipstick in Mistress.
BECCA is a brand that I have fallen in love with over the past year. I’ve received several samples of their products and have purchased a few of their highlighters and I’m always impressed with the quality. I’m now addicted to their Shimmering Skin Perfectors (I love the liquid ones but the Pressed versions are also nice) and I’m slowly starting to get into their other products. Unfortunately, the brand is a little pricey but I’ve been able to find travel sizes of some products and mini sets that allow me to try things without spending too much. My latest purchase is a new set exclusive to Ulta: the BECCA Radiant Glow Collection.
