I have been really into sweaters lately. I get cold easily but I’m not a fan of wearing bulky layers or jackets, especially on my days off when I’m running errands or lounging around the house. As a result, I tend to end up wearing a uniform of sorts during the colder months- a cozy sweater with jeans or leggings and preferably some fun sneakers. It can definitely get a bit repetitive (especially since once I find a sweater I love, I tend to wear it for multiple days in a row) so I always look for pieces with something special. This lace up sleeve sweater from SheIn is my latest find and it’s been on repeat since I got it.
I love fun basics that you can throw together to create a super cute outfit in almost no time. This black and white striped tunic has been one of my favorites the last few months and I’ve been wearing plenty of light layers with it as the weather has gotten warmer. This gray sweater is perfect over tunics and I’ve been living in these crazy-soft skinny jeans. Add some suede boots and a sparkly statement necklace and I’m good to go!
Isn’t it funny how sometimes our outfits can go in stages? Sure, we all have certain pieces that we gravitate towards and trends that we like to follow, but don’t you sometimes just find yourself reaching for the same thing over and over again, even though your closet is full of other clothes? I know I definitely experience that and this black and white striped tunic is my latest obsession.
Since New Year’s Eve is tomorrow, I wanted to share some outfit inspiration for any parties you may be attending. New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite holidays to dress for because it requires so many sequins, crystals, and glitter- you can never have too much! It is a bit tricky to dress for though since cooler weather calls for lots of layers. I usually like to pick one statement piece and then wear dark, neutral layering pieces with it. This outfit is the perfect example. I get plenty of New Year’s Eve sparkle with my sequined top and then keep it simple with black jeans and a black jacket. The layers help me stay warm and the dark colors also make the silver sequins really pop!
