I just got back from visiting Stacie in Nashville and we had so much fun! I was there for a week and our days were jam-packed but it still feels like I need to go back soon because there were so many other things we didn’t get to do! Nashville is pretty easy to visit because it’s so small so it’s super easy to get around. I swear, every time we went anywhere it only took about 15 minutes. We circled the city a few times each day and ate a ridiculous amount of food. I also loved looking at all of the colorful murals around the city and I couldn’t resist using them to showcase some of my new clothes from thredUP, an online consignment shop. You’ll hear a lot more about my trip over the next few weeks, so keep checking back!
Gingham print just screams spring and summer to me. Just looking at it makes me think of picnics and sunshine and I can’t think of a better fabric to wear when the weather starts to warm up. I haven’t owned any gingham in a while so I was super excited when I got the chance to try this gingham top from SheIn. It has a really fun shape and the black and white print is so charming, I can already tell I’m going to be wearing this all the time.
Spring fashion is so much fun to me. Not only does it mean that I can ditch the winter layers and fleece tights, but it also seems like my wardrobe feels so much fresher. I love to wear lighter colors and bright spring pastels. Lately I’ve been loving lots of cream, light pink, and gold together as you can tell by this look. I recently got the chance to partner with JORD Wood Watches and I was so excited to find a watch that fit in with my new spring aesthetic.
I love when spring rolls around and I can ditch the tights I’ve been wearing all winter! I love warm weather (good for me since I live in Phoenix) and I spend all winter counting down the days until I can wear a skirt with bare legs. Luckily, it gets warm pretty quick here so I don’t have to suffer for too long. I recently picked out a couple of new spring skirts from Dresslink and I was so happy when they arrived and I was able to wear them with bare legs immediately! I’m not quite ready for mini skirts yet (those seem like more of a summer thing) so I went with two midi skirts in different materials: a white tulle skirt and a red scuba skirt.
For me, spring means lots of color! Now that the cold weather is gone, it’s time to brighten some things up! I know spring is usually the time for light colors but in addition to lots of cream, blush, and baby blue I’ve been adding plenty of bright jewel tones to my wardrobe. I just love how deep and vibrant the colors are and I think they really pop, especially when worn together. Plus, these vivid colors complement my skin tone a lot more than washed out pastels.
My closet mostly consists of solids in neutrals colors because I find those pieces to be the most versatile but I also really love a good print. Printed pieces can really liven up an outfit or make a big statement. While a lot of the printed clothes I own are pretty colorful (like the prints here and here), I love understated neutral prints like this bow print top. The black and white print and nice fabric make it perfect for work and the bows add just a touch of whimsy to an outfit.
