Is anyone else super obsessed with dark green right now? I feel like I’m seeing it everywhere and I just can’t get enough of it! Green has always been one of my favorite colors but I don’t wear very much of it, although I do love a good mint color in spring. Darker greens are perfect for fall though, and I’ve been loving all the pieces I’ve seen, including this dark green mini dress. I love how this green works almost as a neutral color- it’s great for pairing with so many different colors and accessories.
Paris, Day Five: Château de Fontainebleau
Our final full day in Paris was a little more relaxing in that we only had one thing on our list but we were still on-the-go for most of the day. I couldn’t go to Paris without visiting a fancy palace and I was so excited when we were able to fit a visit to one in our itinerary. We opted to skip Versailles (and the infamous crowds) and instead went to Château de Fontainebleau.
Periwinkle Dress
Every now and then, you find the perfect dress. Something that you never get sick of, something that is always fun to wear, and something that works for almost any occasion. This periwinkle dress checks all the boxes for me. It’s several years old but I still love to wear it and it’s one of the easiest pieces in my closet. All I have to do is throw it on and go, but I still love adding fun accessories so it doesn’t look like the same outfit every time. It’s perfect for work but the light fabric is also great for parties or as a dressier look while traveling. What could be better than that?
Paris, Day One: The Eiffel Tower
What could be better than a spur of the moment trip to Paris? I have always wanted to go to Paris. Growing up, it seemed like such a beautiful city full of glamorous people doing glamorous things. I couldn’t imagine a place much more different than the Phoenix desert. I watched all of the French movies (A Very Long Engagement is one of my favorite movies ever), listened to French music, and took French classes in high school and college. But I never visited! C’est la vie.
Fast forward to this spring. G and I had some vacation time at the end of April and we originally planned on going to London. We had the perfect itinerary planned and were so excited… until the flights filled up! So naturally our only option was to go to Paris instead (quelle horreur!). It was a little crazy- I only had a few days to plan the trip and we ended up booking an Airbnb while sitting on the plane! But we made it and spent five amazing days in the City of Lights.
One Dress, Three Ways
I’ll admit, I have a lot of clothes. I can’t help it, I just love fashion and finding new things to wear. I love trying fun new trends but for the most part, I gravitate toward simpler pieces that can be worn in a lot of different ways. One of my favorite things to buy are little black dresses, especially little black t-shirt dresses. I love their versatility and how comfy they are! They’re so easy to dress up or down and they seem to work for almost every occasion. I’ve got quite a few already and my latest find is this tiered version that even has pockets. It’s been on constant rotation in my closet and I thought it would make a fun post if I showed you some of the different ways I’ve been wearing it. So here it is: one dress, three ways.
Blush Mini Dress
I’m not usually a fan of blush. It seems a little strange, considering I love pink, but blush feels like something else entirely. I love the idea of blush and it looks great on other people, but it’s hard for me to find blush clothes that I really like. Typically, they lean too brown or mauve-y and those colors just do not look good on me. I was really surprised when I found this blush mini dress though. It’s super pale and a true blush pink- no brown or mauve shades to be found. It feels perfect for spring and it’s definitely changed how I feel about the color.
