Gingham print just screams spring and summer to me. Just looking at it makes me think of picnics and sunshine and I can’t think of a better fabric to wear when the weather starts to warm up. I haven’t owned any gingham in a while so I was super excited when I got the chance to try this gingham top from SheIn. It has a really fun shape and the black and white print is so charming, I can already tell I’m going to be wearing this all the time.
I love fun basics that you can throw together to create a super cute outfit in almost no time. This black and white striped tunic has been one of my favorites the last few months and I’ve been wearing plenty of light layers with it as the weather has gotten warmer. This gray sweater is perfect over tunics and I’ve been living in these crazy-soft skinny jeans. Add some suede boots and a sparkly statement necklace and I’m good to go!
While I love blacks and grays, every now and then I want something a little more earthy feeling. Dark brown and cream are a great alternative and I love how they look with lots of gold jewelry. This dark brown leather jacket has been a staple in my closet for years (and I have to admit, it’s seen better days and I really need to get a new one) and I love how it looks with these lighter brown leather boots.
I love holidays that require you to dress up. It’s so fun to play along and wear something with a specific theme. I’ve always loved going all out for Halloween and making sure every detail of my costume was just right but other holidays that call for outfits fitting a general theme can be just as fun. Everyone knows that you have to wear green for St. Patrick’s Day and red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July. It’s nice to see everyone dress a little over the top and have fun with it. Red and pink are perfect for Valentine’s Day and I love adding a little cheesiness with lots of hearts and love-themed accessories. It’s never difficult for me to come up with the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit.
My favorite thing about jewelry is how personal it is. At least, that’s my favorite thing about my jewelry. Sure, I have plenty of cheap, trendy pieces that I wear a few times and then get rid of when I’m sick of them, but a lot of my pieces have history to them. They remind me of a person or a place, whether they are gifts, hand-me-downs, or items I bought on my own. Sometimes they are special just because I enjoy wearing them. Other times they mean a lot because of where they came from. As eclectic and vast as my jewelry collection is, I own quite a few pieces that are perfect for Valentine’s Day (pink, hearts, all that). Here are some of my favorite pieces of Valentine’s Day Jewelry.
