It’s no secret that I am a lover of pink lipsticks. I’m not quite sure exactly how many I own (mostly because I’m too embarrassed to count) but it’s a lot. Like, a lot. I can’t help it, I just love them all! They’re great during the winter to add a pop of color to my all-black-and-gray wardrobe and when it’s warmer out they pair perfectly with more colorful outfits. I love all pink lip colors whether they’re light, mod pinks or more nude shades but I especially love bright pinks. I frequently have people ask for recommendations or about the color I’m wearing so here’s a list of the 7 best bright pink lipsticks that you need to own!
December is always such a fun month makeup-wise. It’s full of holidays and parties and lots of time off to play around and experiment. I usually use a lot of different beauty products and go through lots of glitter and red lipsticks. Last month, there were three products that I kept reaching for again and again even as I changed my look over and over. My three December beauty favorites were the Topshop Smoky Eye Palette in Enigma, the It’s Skin Prestige Creme D’Escargot BB Cream, and the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu.
I recently got the chance to try the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in three different shades and I was so excited! I love the ease and convenience of lip crayons and while I usually wear glossy lip colors, lately I’ve been loving how matte shades seem to “pop” a little more. Plus, I love how Bite uses natural and organic ingredients and even the matte shades are designed to be hydrating and creamy. Each lipstick also contains resveratrol, an age-fighting antioxidant that is found in red wine. A lipstick that is good for your lips and looks great? Sign me up!
I haven’t been buying too many new beauty products so far this year but I’ve been having a lot of fun rediscovering products I already own. My March beauty favorites included a new concealer that has gotten quite a bit of use, an old favorite nail polish shade, and a lip primer that I finally figured out how to use well. I’ve been wearing a lot of soft pink and purple shades of makeup but I’ve been trying different combinations with a few different palettes so none of them have really stood out so far. I’ve also been wearing a lot of pink blushes and lip colors and tring some new skincare products. But when it came down to it, these three products really stood out in March. My 2016 March beauty favorites were the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla, Essie’s Lovie Dovie Nail Polish, and the Stila Lush Lips Water Plumping Primer.
I recently got the chance to try a few products from Born Pretty, an online store with tons of inexpensive beauty products. Seriously, there are so many different products to choose from, I had a hard time narrowing down what to get. I love trying different beauty products and Born Pretty’s low prices mean I can test out something a bit different than what I would usually wear without wasting a lot of money. Shipping did take quite a while (about six weeks) and I had honestly forgotten about my order until the package arrived, which made it a nice surprise. In the end, I picked out four products: a whitening hand cream, a moisturizing lipstick, a super lustrous lipstick, and a bb cream.
Similar to my January favorites, my February beauty favorites were less about color and more about maintenance. February was pretty warm for us but my skin and hair is still feeling the effects of winter (and my hair had a mini flip out after I tried some new products that left it super dry). I ended up spending most of the month trying to get my hair back to its normal healthy state and fighting winter’s drying effects on my skin and hair. My February beauty favorites ended up being the Blax Snag-Free Hair Elastics, the HASK Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shine Hair Oil, and the Julep Sugar Smooch Lip Scrub.
