It’s no secret that I am a lover of pink lipsticks. I’m not quite sure exactly how many I own (mostly because I’m too embarrassed to count) but it’s a lot. Like, a lot. I can’t help it, I just love them all! They’re great during the winter to add a pop of color to my all-black-and-gray wardrobe and when it’s warmer out they pair perfectly with more colorful outfits. I love all pink lip colors whether they’re light, mod pinks or more nude shades but I especially love bright pinks. I frequently have people ask for recommendations or about the color I’m wearing so here’s a list of the 7 best bright pink lipsticks that you need to own!
December is always such a fun month makeup-wise. It’s full of holidays and parties and lots of time off to play around and experiment. I usually use a lot of different beauty products and go through lots of glitter and red lipsticks. Last month, there were three products that I kept reaching for again and again even as I changed my look over and over. My three December beauty favorites were the Topshop Smoky Eye Palette in Enigma, the It’s Skin Prestige Creme D’Escargot BB Cream, and the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu.
I recently got the chance to try the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in three different shades and I was so excited! I love the ease and convenience of lip crayons and while I usually wear glossy lip colors, lately I’ve been loving how matte shades seem to “pop” a little more. Plus, I love how Bite uses natural and organic ingredients and even the matte shades are designed to be hydrating and creamy. Each lipstick also contains resveratrol, an age-fighting antioxidant that is found in red wine. A lipstick that is good for your lips and looks great? Sign me up!
I recently got the chance to try a few products from Born Pretty, an online store with tons of inexpensive beauty products. Seriously, there are so many different products to choose from, I had a hard time narrowing down what to get. I love trying different beauty products and Born Pretty’s low prices mean I can test out something a bit different than what I would usually wear without wasting a lot of money. Shipping did take quite a while (about six weeks) and I had honestly forgotten about my order until the package arrived, which made it a nice surprise. In the end, I picked out four products: a whitening hand cream, a moisturizing lipstick, a super lustrous lipstick, and a bb cream.
My January beauty favorites included a couple of brands that were new to me as well as one that I love. I’ve heard so many great things about indie bath and body products but I only got around to trying some recently. I was gifted a couple of indie products to try and I’ve fallen in love. I can see why indie products are an addiction, I already want so many more things! Two of my gifts have made this list in addition to an older lipstick that I’ve been getting a lot of use out of lately. My January beauty favorites were pretty easy to pick, they’re all products I can’t live without this month: Altitude Soap’s Sleepy Peppermint Whipped Soap, Cocoa Pink’s Ginger Crème Brûlée Perfume Oil, and NARS’ Schiap Lipstick.
Bright pink is my signature lip color and I’m always looking for new shades to try. I’ve written before about the NARS Lip Pencils in Dragon Girl and Luxembourg and I liked both of those so much that when it was time for a new lipstick, I looked to that line for ideas. My newest bright pink is the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu.
