Our third day in Paris was a little slow to start after our extremely long and tiring second day. We had a pretty full day planned for this day as well but ended up skipping a couple of spots on our list. It was the best thing we could have done. We still ended up seeing quite a bit and wearing ourselves out again but we did manage to sit, people watch, and take in the city at a more relaxed pace. And we’ll just have to go back to see what we missed!
Gingham print just screams spring and summer to me. Just looking at it makes me think of picnics and sunshine and I can’t think of a better fabric to wear when the weather starts to warm up. I haven’t owned any gingham in a while so I was super excited when I got the chance to try this gingham top from SheIn. It has a really fun shape and the black and white print is so charming, I can already tell I’m going to be wearing this all the time.
When it comes to fashion, I’m a sucker for stripes and classic pieces with interesting details. Stripes are a great way to add a little interest to an outfit without going overboard. Classic pieces stand the test of time for a reason and I love how extra touches can elevate them from being simple, minimalistic pieces that you see everywhere to something a little more fun while still being understated. For this outfit, I wanted something comfortable but still cute so I went with a striped top and sheer maxi skirt with some extra details.
Earlier this week G and I took a mini trip to Santa Barbara. Our flight left super early in the morning and we spent the day checking out the pier and walking down State Street. Obviously I wanted to look cute for our trip but I really wanted to be comfortable for the flight and our day of walking. Luckily, New Chic recently sent me some updated staples that fit the bill perfectly.
