Dark Green Mini Dress

green mini dressIs anyone else super obsessed with dark green right now? I feel like I’m seeing it everywhere and I just can’t get enough of it! Green has always been one of my favorite colors but I don’t wear very much of it, although I do love a good mint color in spring. Darker greens are perfect for fall though, and I’ve been loving all the pieces I’ve seen, including this dark green mini dress. I love how this green works almost as a neutral color- it’s great for pairing with so many different colors and accessories.

Burgundy Lace Dress

burgundy dress

Fall in Phoenix is tough. Everyone else is breaking out their cozy clothes in dark, moody colors but it still feels like summer here. It’s just not cool enough yet to break out the warm sweaters and scarves. So instead I’ve been buying light tops and dresses but in deeper colors so I still get my fall fix. This burgundy lace dress from Yoins is one of my latest finds. I love the rich color but the short length and lace sleeves still keep me weather-appropriate.

Paris, Day Four: Musée d’Orsay and the Île de la Cité

35 paris day four coffeeDay four in Paris was probably my favorite of our entire trip. We still managed to do a ton of stuff but it felt a lot more relaxing after the previous couple of days. Watercolor Dress

For the most part, I tend to stick with solids for my clothes but when I find a really fun print, I can’t resist buying it. Pretty colors always draw me in, which was the case for this watercolor dress. I loved the swirls of blue, pink, and purple and I’d been eyeing it for months. I finally pulled the trigger after our Paris vacation- the print reminded me of all of the impressionist paintings we saw on our trip. As such, I’ve affectionately named this my “Monet dress” and it makes me happy every time I wear it.

Periwinkle Dress

periwinkle chiffon dressEvery now and then, you find the perfect dress. Something that you never get sick of, something that is always fun to wear, and something that works for almost any occasion. This periwinkle dress checks all the boxes for me. It’s several years old but I still love to wear it and it’s one of the easiest pieces in my closet. All I have to do is throw it on and go, but I still love adding fun accessories so it doesn’t look like the same outfit every time. It’s perfect for work but the light fabric is also great for parties or as a dressier look while traveling. What could be better than that?
