New England Lobster Market & Eatery

To finish up my trip in San Francisco I had to have some seafood! We Yelp-ed restaurants by our hotel and found The New England Lobster Market & Eatery. It had great reviews and was close to our hotel so we decided to check it out.

The restaurant was packed when we got there – the line was out the door! The restaurant was really cute. There was picnic table style seating out front as well as additional seating indoors. When you enter the restaurant, the market portion is on the left side – where you can buy live lobster of varying sizes to take home and prepare yourself. The kitchen and order area was all the way to the back. They have a cute chalk board menu with all the options. The menu consists of lobster plates, crab plates, lobster rolls, crab sandwiches, and some appetizers.

The Coldest Winter was a Summer Spent in San Francisco

Taking a trip to San Francisco had been on my bucket list for awhile and it just so happened work sent me to San Francisco for a training event right before I moved to Nashville. A couple of my close work friends were also going on this trip so we were able to make a fun trip out of it. Nat and I even flew up a day early so that we could go into the city to explore. I finally got to see the Golden Gate Bridge!! I had been to San Francisco once before but it was for a Giants game so we didn’t have much time in the city.

Nat and I Yelp-ed a pancake restaurant pretty close to the airport to start the day before taking the BART into the city. The Bart is pretty convenient for getting into the city from the suburbs but it doesn’t seem that great for getting around the actual city – we did a LOT of walking to see everything. We took the BART to the end of the line and then walked along the city to Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 to see the sea lions. I loved watching the sea lions – it’s fun to watch how easily they can jump out of the water onto the dock. I probably could have and stayed and watched them much longer but I could feel the sun starting to burn (I managed to forget my sunscreen and I burn super easily).
