I can be very picky about my face washes, even though, to be honest, I think they’re all mostly the same. Sure, I have my favorites, but none of them really stand out as doing something that the others don’t. I always like trying new ones though, mostly because I get bored of using the same products all of the time. I was interested in checking out the NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash because it sounded like something new. It claims to resurface skin and actually sounds more like an exfoliating mask than a skin cleanser.
Today I’m excited to share with you a new mud mask from Exuviance. I love masks in general but mud masks are one of my favorites and I always like trying new ones. I love how they detox my skin and they are great for “reset-ing” it if my skin is not cooperating. If my skin is feeling too oily or not looking as bright and fresh as I would like, a mud mask always gets it back to normal. Lucky for me, the Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment did not disappoint.
I’m super picky when it comes to makeup removers. Obviously, I want one that works well but at the same time I want one that’s easy to use. I hate multiple steps and anything that irritates my sensitive skin. My favorite makeup removers are ones that act as a cleanser and remover in one, and they must remove everything, even stubborn mascara. I’ve heard a lot of people rave about cleansing balms but had yet to try one myself so I was so excited to try the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm.
When I think of Evian Facial Spray, I imagine models on a tropical beach lightly misting their faces while a breeze gently blows their hair around. It seems so fancy- natural spring water is bottled at the source in the French Alps. It’s tested 300 times a day to ensure it’s purity and that it has a neutral pH of 7.2 to properly hydrate and refresh skin. It uses a unique fine micro-droplet mist to dispense the spray. The Evian Facial Spray is hypoallergenic and is perfect for adding hydration or refreshing makeup throughout the day.
I recently got the chance to try a couple of products from ARK Skincare: their Age Defend Replenishing Moisturizer and their Skin Perfector Triple Action Exfoliator. ARK Skincare is a British brand that uses natural ingredients and aims to give you professional, salon-quality results at home. Their skincare “system” is pretty easy to figure out- they have different lines based on age and what your skin needs during that time period. For example, the Age Protect line for teens and people in their twenties focuses on protecting against daily pollutants while the Age Defy line for 50 and up uses collagen-boosting and skin-brightening ingredients. It seems like a pretty simple way to choose your skincare products.
I have a bit of an obsession with face masks. I love all different kinds and I really love trying new ones. A few that I always have in rotation are some kind of mud/charcoal mask to remove impurities, a hydrating mask to keep my skin moisturized, and a bevy of sheet masks to keep my skin looking great. I love how low-risk sheet masks are- they’re pretty inexpensive and since they’re a one-time use, if I hate it I never have to use it again! And they’re just fun to use! I recently got the chance to try a couple of When sheet masks: The Last Choice and Travelmate. When is a Korean brand that is starting to pop up all over the US (their masks are sold at Sephora, Ulta, Birchbox, and Anthropologie). When sheet masks come in five different varieties to suit all different skin needs. The masks are made from coconuts and are designed to be suitable for everyone, even those with sensitive skin.
