Day four in Paris was probably my favorite of our entire trip. We still managed to do a ton of stuff but it felt a lot more relaxing after the previous couple of days. I think it helped that we didn’t travel across the city as much and the places we visited weren’t as overwhelming as say, the Louvre. Our visits at each stop were much shorter and it seemed like a bit of a lazy day, even though it wasn’t at all. We began the day with a quick coffee stop before taking the metro to the Musée D’Orsay.
For the most part, I tend to stick with solids for my clothes but when I find a really fun print, I can’t resist buying it. Pretty colors always draw me in, which was the case for this watercolor dress. I loved the swirls of blue, pink, and purple and I’d been eyeing it for months. I finally pulled the trigger after our Paris vacation- the print reminded me of all of the impressionist paintings we saw on our trip. As such, I’ve affectionately named this my “Monet dress” and it makes me happy every time I wear it.
Our third day in Paris was a little slow to start after our extremely long and tiring second day. We had a pretty full day planned for this day as well but ended up skipping a couple of spots on our list. It was the best thing we could have done. We still ended up seeing quite a bit and wearing ourselves out again but we did manage to sit, people watch, and take in the city at a more relaxed pace. And we’ll just have to go back to see what we missed!
I have been loving the warm weather lately! It’s been so nice and I love how bright green our neighborhood is. It’s been perfect for walking around and looking at the new blooms everywhere. I’ve been wearing a lot of light layers and simple sweaters with shorts like with this outfit. There’s something so nice about a light, soft sweater with shorts and fancy sneakers, don’t you think?
I’m not usually a fan of blush. It seems a little strange, considering I love pink, but blush feels like something else entirely. I love the idea of blush and it looks great on other people, but it’s hard for me to find blush clothes that I really like. Typically, they lean too brown or mauve-y and those colors just do not look good on me. I was really surprised when I found this blush mini dress though. It’s super pale and a true blush pink- no brown or mauve shades to be found. It feels perfect for spring and it’s definitely changed how I feel about the color.
So… it’s not exactly coat weather in Phoenix right now. But, I have been searching for a pink coat for a long time with no success so I’m totally justified in getting this pink wrap coat now, right? Plus, I’ve got a vacation coming up, what if I visit someplace cold? I totally need this right now. In all honesty, I probably don’t but can you blame me for getting it? I love the shape and it’s the perfect spring coat- if you actually need one. And if you’re on the fence- just wait until you see the price!
