Spring fashion is so much fun to me. Not only does it mean that I can ditch the winter layers and fleece tights, but it also seems like my wardrobe feels so much fresher. I love to wear lighter colors and bright spring pastels. Lately I’ve been loving lots of cream, light pink, and gold together as you can tell by this look. I recently got the chance to partner with JORD Wood Watches and I was so excited to find a watch that fit in with my new spring aesthetic.
Dressing for Winter
Although it doesn’t snow or drop below freezing too much here during the winter, it can still feel pretty cold sometimes. I’m always cold to begin with, so winter temperatures don’t really work for me. It can be hard to dress for cooler weather, especially on days that I’m working. I don’t like to wear a lot of layers or feel like I’m super bundled up like a snowman- I definitely still like being able to move around without bulky sweaters inhibiting my movements. I’ve also yet to find a pair of dress pants that I actually like, so dressing for winter for me means finding ways to transition my warmer weather clothes and dresses to the colder months.
All Bundled Up for Christmas Shopping
It has been pretty cold here the past few days (whether it’s really that cold or it just seems like it in contrast to the weather in Maui, I’m not really sure) so I have been bundling up and wearing plenty of layers. I’ve managed to get most of my Christmas shopping done and my presents wrapped with the exception of a few online orders I’m still waiting on. I always try to get my shopping done early because I know when Stacie shows up she’ll make me go with her! I hate dealing with the crowds but she always manages to procrastinate until the last minute and I’m stuck helping her do her Christmas shopping.
Perforated Leather
I have an affinity for leather, especially during fall and winter. I love how instantly cool it makes you look and there are so many different ways to wear it. At this point I’ve acquired quite a few leather (or at least faux leather) pieces and I’ve gotten to the point where I have all of the basics covered (jacket x 2, pencil skirt, full skirt, leggings). Now I’m after more interesting items. This perforated leather skirt has a lot of fun details like cutouts and a scalloped hem but it’s also really comfortable to wear.
A Night Out with James Bond and Omega
Earlier this week, G and I were invited to a screening of the new James Bond movie, Spectre. G owns an Omega watch which also happens to be the same brand James Bond wears (how fancy!). Omega invited us to a fun night out which included dinner and a movie at Scottsdale’s Studio Movie Grill. We used it as an excuse to dress up for a night on the town.
Summer Wishlist
A week of temperatures over 110 means summer is definitely here! Here is what’s on our summer wishlists:
